AYC assists communities in their endeavour to achieve and sustain strong and effective local government, thereby improving the quality of life for all of the people of the Territory.

FCM’s 2023 Annual Conference and Trade Show

FCM’s Annual Conference and Trade Show is back! Taking place from May 25 to 28 in Toronto, this is the largest pan-Canadian gathering of municipal leaders. The curated program will help delegates foster connections with their peers, partners and federal representatives while providing insights they need to scale up growth in their communities. Together with other Canadian municipal leaders from coast to coast to coast who’ve grappled with the same challenges, tool up to deliver results in your municipality.

AYC ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVE AT AGM MAY 14, 2022

The Association held its Annual General Meeting and conference on May 13 & 14, 2022.AYC is excited to announce their new Executive.

AYC Donates $1,950 to the Whitehorse Food Bank

City of Whitehorse Mayor Laura Cabott presents a $1,950 cheque to the Whitehorse Food Bank. 
The Executive of AYC passed a motion to present each of the Mayors and Councillors who served during these unprecedented times with a gift to thank them for their service. To support local businesses who have been struggling through the pandemic, each elected official was given a gift certificate to the local business of their choice. Many of the officials donated their gift certificates to the Food Bank instead. $250 was donated to the Dawson Food Bank, $50 to the Help and Hope Society in Watson Lake and $1,950 to the Whitehorse Food Bank.
